Day 1 - Arrival 

After arriving at Bandaranayke International airport and meeting with the guide, you will be transferred to Jetwing Blue Hotel in Negambo for a 1-night, 2-day stay. Negambo is a quiet town located 10 km from the airport on the west coast of Sri Lanka. Its name comes from the Negambo lagoon, and the village is known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise-blue waters, making it a popular beach resort town. It is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy during your stay. 

 

Day 2 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya 

After the breakfast at the Jetwing Blue Hotel we proceed to Back of Beyond Jungle Hideaway Pidurangala for 2 nights and 3 days stay. Pidurangala village and Sigiriya Village offer travelers a chance to explore the natural beauty of Sri Lanka while promoting sustainable tourism practices. Both destinations have a rich biodiversity with unique flora and fauna. Visitors can participate in eco-friendly activities such as hiking, bird watching, and exploring the wildlife sanctuaries in the area. Additionally, efforts have been made to promote sustainable tourism practices, such as waste reduction and conservation of natural resources. By encouraging eco-tourism, Pidurangala village and Sigiriya Village promote sustainable tourism practices while providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Sri Lanka in a responsible way. 

Day 3 - Excursion to Pidurangala/Sigiriya 

 

After breakfast at the hotel, you can experience a bicycle trip to a number of exceptional archaeological sites. Explore Kaludiyapokuna, the ruins of an ancient Buddhist vihara buried in the jungle. You can also explore highly varied landscapes starting from the Sigiriya Moat and continuing across villages, farmlands, irrigation canals, forests, irrigation tanks, and lovely forest lakes. In the evening, you can enjoy a scenic boat ride on a lake in Sigiriya to fully appreciate the breathtaking natural beauty of the ancient kingdom's landscape. It's a perfect excursion for birders, wildlife and nature lovers, to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of giant Jumbuck trees, tropical forests, beautiful lily fields teeming with water birds, raptors, and small mammals.

Day 4 - Excursion to Kandy 

After breakfast at the Back of Beyond Jungle Hideaway, we will depart to Kandy where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Polwaththa Eco Lodge. It is an ideal place for nature lovers whose expectations of "luxury" lie more outside the room than inside. Polwaththa Eco Lodge is a sustainable retreat located in the heart of Sri Lanka's countryside. It offers unique eco-friendly accommodations and outdoor activities in a serene natural environment. Guests can participate in a range of eco-friendly activities, including hikes, organic farming, and community tourism, promoting responsible travel practices. 

Day 5 – Excursion to Tea Factory and Village Walks 

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to experience village walks through quaint villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens, where the villagers go about their daily chores at their own pace. You will be invited to visit their houses and see how they make treacle and jaggery. Our trained guide will give you a "botany lesson" about the various trees you will see along the way. You will observe the villagers bathing, washing their clothes, and drawing sand from the river. A large and deep pool of water upstream is available for competent swimmers. After the village walk, you will visit a tea factory and plantation to learn about the growing and harvesting of tea, and enjoy a good cup of tea. A complimentary 250g of quality black tea and a picnic lunch are included. The return trip will be by tuk-tuk or private jeep. 

Day 6 – Excursion to Mahiyangana 

After breakfast at the Polwaththa Eco Loge we will depart to Mahiyangana where we will stay for 2 nights and 3 days at Kevans Casa Hotel. Mahiyangana offers an eco-tourism experience that includes the opportunity to learn about the ancient Vadda community. The Vadda are an indigenous group that has lived in Sri Lanka for thousands of years. Visitors can participate in cultural tours, where they will learn about Vadda history, traditions, and daily life. Additionally, visitors can explore the natural beauty of the area, including wildlife reserves, waterfalls, and ancient temples. 

Day 7 – Excursion to Dambana 

After breakfast at the hotel, an excursion tour is organized to Dambana, the village of Sri Lanka's indigenous Vadda community. The tour offers opportunities to immerse in their daily life, traditional ceremonies, and rituals, and learn about eco-tourism and conservation efforts. A knowledgeable guide will provide insight into Vadda's history, culture, and daily life while taking travelers on hikes through the forests. The tour also includes staying in eco-friendly lodges, homestays, and community projects, fostering mutual appreciation and respect between travelers and locals.

Day 8 - Excursion to Ella 

Breakfast at the hotel we departure to Ella for 2 nights and 3 days stay at Oak Ray Ella Gap. The hotel offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations. Guests can explore the village and its attractions, such as the famous Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak, or simply relax in the hotel's comfortable rooms and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. The town of Ella is known for its natural beauty, with lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and tea plantations. Visitors can take hikes to Ella Rock, explore the nearby Nine Arch Bridge, or simply relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the village. The hotel's eco-friendly practices and sustainable tourism initiatives make it a great choice for environmentally-conscious travelers looking to enjoy the beauty of Sri Lanka. 

Day 9 - Excursion to Ella

After breakfast at the hotel, an excursion tour can be arranged to visit the scenic Ravana Waterfall, Ravana Cave, Nine Arch Bridge, and Little Adam’s Peak. The Ravana Falls are a 3-tier cascading waterfall, while the Nine Arch Bridge offers picturesque views in a dense jungle and agricultural setting. Little Adams Peak offers a relatively easy hike through local villages, tea plantations, and green fields, providing breathtaking views of the beautiful green hills of Ella. City tour around Ella Town can also be arranged.
 

Day 10 - Departure

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Bandaranayke International airport for our departure.
